Throughout our site you should find all the information that you need to confidently choose the perfect Decorum Taste luxury customisable wedding or occasion cake for your event. Should you have any questions, we have listed a few of the most frequent ones below.
Do you offer UK-wide or global shipment?
We currently offer a delivery service to specific postcodes (South East & London). Please enter your postcode during checkout to check if it’s covered. If we do not currently deliver to your postcode, you will be given the option to collect from us OR you may leave a note on the order requesting a custom delivery, which we can consider and quote if possible.
Delivery is usually to your event’s address and the correct location must be provided at the time of placing your order. Any specific timings or other restrictions on delivery must be advised by leaving us a note during the checkout as our drivers cannot wait at the destination.
Should you not wish to have your cake delivered, you are most welcome to collect from our premises at an agreed time and this will save any delivery costs.
At the point that we hand the cake over, you will assume all responsibility and liability for it.
Is it possible to change an order after it has been submitted?
We can only accept changes in limited circumstances, so please choose your cake and options carefully. However, once submitted, your order will be examined and confirmed by our team by email. If you need to make any changes, you may request them during this email-confirmation.
Changes to an confirmed order are generally not permitted. If you do need to request a change, you must email us at the earliest opportunity and in all cases no later than 6 weeks prior to the event, when no changes are possible. Acceptance of changes to a confirmed order is fully at our discretion and may incur additional charges, which will be outlined by email. Our cancellation policy may help if you need to cancel your booking entirely.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

My event date has changed, how do I let you know?
We understand that sometimes changes happen outside of any control. However, regardless of when you placed your order, we may not be able to accommodate a change of date due to baking timescales or other commitments. Please feel free to contact us using the details given on your email booking confirmation. Should you not be able to find this email, please contact us here ensuring that you quote your order reference number.
A few of my guests have dietary requirements, how do I order for them?
All of our cakes can be ordered as Gluten Free, Vegan, Diary Free or Egg Free and it is possible to specify that one tier be made to meet a dietary requirement. Due to possible cross-contamination it is not advisable to mix and match tiers for severe cases.

What does ganache mean?
Ganache is the mixture of melted milk chocolate and cream (or vegan substitute) which we use to cover our cakes before they are iced in sugarpaste (fondant). The ganache adds a luxurious finish, super sharp lines and edges, and a delicious extra dimension of taste to our cakes.
What is Swiss Meringue Buttercream?
Swiss buttercream is a luxury take on buttercream. It’s a light, very fluffy and delicious filling added to each of our cakes made from a meringue base with butter (vegan and eggless cakes have an alternative to this filling). Please note that this will be flavoured depending on your cake flavour choices.
What flavours options are available?
How far in advance of my event should I order my cake?
We require orders to be placed with at least 3 weeks notice prior to your event date. However, in exceptional circumstances, should you require an urgent cake, please click here to contact us directly.
Can we try before we buy?
I would like to put fresh flowers on my cake, is this possible?
Yes, it is possible to add fresh flowers to be placed on or around the cake. It is your responsibility to procure these from a florist and ensure they are safe for food use (i.e. non-toxic). It is also your responsibility to arrange for these to be added to your cake. We cannot be held liable for any issues arising from the use of fresh-flowers.
Is it possible to have any other customisation options to my cake, other than those listed?
For each of our cakes we offer a range of customisation which suit the design and therefore, no additional options can be chosen.

What payment options are available?
We only accept online payment through our secure and approved payment gateway service. For payment details, please view our Terms and Conditions.
Do you make 'free-from' cakes?
Yes we do! Our delicious range of signature flavour cakes, are available as Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Egg Free (Eggless) or Vegan.
