Portion Guide
To help with your decision on how many tiers to choose for your cake and the number of portions it could provide, please refer to the handy portion guide and tables below.
Our wedding cakes are offered in 2, 3 or 4 tier variants. Due to design specifics, some of our celebration cakes are only offered as a single tier and cannot be scaled. Depending on the design you have chosen, you will be presented with the appropriate tier options for your cake.
Our celebration cakes, by their nature and design, may have different diameter or height tiers. Please refer to the details provided in each cake’s “Understanding The Options” section for further detail.
In addition to the portion guide, please see below how the scale of your chosen number of tiers will look. These images are representative only, and the heights are approximate. Measurements shown of the cakes do not include the height of base board or any decorations, (which will add additional height):
For generous portioning, we recommend cutting our wedding cakes in dessert portions 2” x 1” (x 5″ high). For smaller slices, i.e. when serving with coffee we recommend cutting finger portions 1” x 1” (x 5″ high). Please note that we number our tiers from the top down. For example, for a 4 tier cake: Tier 1 will be the on the top (4″) and tier 4 (10″) will be at the bottom, with total number of servings being 79 dessert portions or 146 finger portions.
